Screen Shot 2014-06-30 at 15.21.03It’s very easy to get caught up in the ‘doing’ phase, it gives us a feeling of importance because well we are doing something and doing is important. And it is also how we gauge ourselves with other people, we can compare ourselves to them.

And then of course either ourselves feel great (doesn’t often happen) OR make ourselves feel miserable (often happens) because we consider the other person to be better having made the comparison. But no two people are the same, not even identical twins, they have their own brains and own thoughts.

So be you. And be the best at being you. There is no comparing when you are being the best at being you. And that makes you as fantastic as everyone else. You see it doesn’t matter what other people are doing, what diet they follow, how much they weigh, how much they have lost, how much they’ve eaten/not eaten, slept/not slept, thinking and not thinking.

When you are looking after what is good for you and focusing on that for you and being you. Foxy Loxy above was being himself. He knew where he wanted to lie, groom himself and make sure he was okay….the best of himself.

Nature teaches us many lessons like this if we choose to stop and take notice and not stick our heads into another pile of something or to do list of ‘400’ important things.

We choose everything that we do so we can choose to be the best we can, look after ourselves the best we can (food, hydration, sleep, exercise and variety). It’s not about what diet or what abdominal exercise or how late you worked that matters.

It is making the best choices for you. Yes food/nutrition is important so eat the best you can, water is important so drink abundantly, sleep is important so go to bed earlier, exercise is important so go for a walk even if it is only to the end of the road and back, and variety is important to keep you stimulated and enjoy what you do.

Today you can choose to be the best of you……..if you want to!
