Movement Coach

The fitness industry is such a massively broad industry ranging from beginnings to world class athletes, from able bodies to those recovery from injury, surgery or illness.  There is no one exactly the same as someone else, no one with the same background, physical history or goals that they are trying to achieve.  Which is probably why there are so many people saying all sorts of things about anything.

There is though one thing that is for sure, we all move and in movement we should expect to see movement patterns and behaviours in the body.  Historically this has been used with elite athletes to help improve their form for their specific sport…..

BUT we are all athletes of a kind and the vast huge majority of us are never going to be elite or even near.  This though doesn’t mean that we don’t need bodies that work well and effectively and get us through our days and what we want to achieve.

Saying that, our bodies sometimes get into bad habits and don’t work as efficiently and effectively as they could and most of the time we don’t realise.  It can happen for a number of reasons, you were never told a different way, you don’t know how to do it, an injury and that’s what happens now or you think you can’t do it.  Although our bodies work to keep us safe and out of injury sometimes they are prone to keeping us super super safe and don’t allow that movement to happen.

Working in movement specialist I work to help my clients improve their movements and also the function of their body.

This can be very simple movements such as improving my client’s walk.  This can have a huge impact on their posture and enable them to walk taller, lighter and more confidently.

Or you may want to run better, or climb the stairs easier and with less pain, improving your golf swing so you can drive further onto the green, improve your football technique and be more useful on the pitch or you’ve lost weight and you want to kick some of those movement habits you created when you were overweight or since your surgery you want to regain some strength back.

For me movement specialist sits so well with weigh/fatt loss and diagnosis and beyond because it looks at making life as good as possible for you.

I tend to use this area of my business everywhere, using this knowledge to help my clients feel fantastic.

If you are wondering if I can help you improve the movement of something you would like to do better I have put some questions together.  I offer anyone who thinks that I might be able to help them a free complimentary phone call, but first you need to send me the questions.

What is the one ‘thing’ in your sport or daily life that you would like to improve?

How long has this being going on for? Such since you began the sport, after an accident, since surgery.....

When you have achieved you ‘thing’ what will you be able to do that you can’t do now? What would it mean to you to achieve this?

What have you tried before to help improve your ‘thing’?

How motivated are you on a scale of 1 to 10 to do something about this now?

What would it mean to you to achieve this?

Now this bit is important if the complimentary call is to work
